🌼 First stop on the Olimalar Express… LifSkool at Kadamakudy! ⛵

This academic year, we kicked off our Life Skills & Mental Health Programme for 11th and 12th standard students, in collaboration with Mind Empowered. 💛

There’s been talking, laughing, thinking, sharing and, of course, lots of games! 😄

Growing up comes with a lot of pressure, emotions, relationships, choices and uncertainty, and young people need space to talk about the things that don’t always make it into textbooks.

Throughout the academic year, we’ll be creating that space and helping students build practical skills to navigate school, relationships and life beyond the classroom.

Preparing young people for the future means preparing them for life, not just exams. ✨

And we’re only getting started!

Paattum Chaayayum, our very first fundraiser. 🎶☕🌼

What started as a small idea became an evening filled with music, chai, laughter and community.

Thank you to everyone who came along, sang with us, shared our event, donated, volunteered, and cheered us on. You made the evening more special than we could have imagined.

Every ticket purchased helps support Olimalar Foundation’s life skills and well-being programmes for children, families and communities in Kerala.

We are so grateful for your support. 💛

Sharing this with a very full heart 🌼

This year has been one of growth, learning, uncertainty, beautiful partnerships, creative classrooms, community conversations, and many small moments that reminded us why this work matters.

What began as LifSkool has grown into something deeper with Olimalar Foundation — not just programmes, but spaces where children, families and communities can build confidence, resilience and support together.

Behind every number in this report is a real child, a classroom, a conversation, a teacher who made space, a volunteer who showed up, or a partner who believed in us.

None of this happens alone.

Made with HeART ❤️

In April, we transformed into a celebration of children’s creativity, imagination and self-expression.

Over the past nine months, through our collaboration with , teachers from government schools across Kochi explored creative, SEL-based approaches in their classrooms — bringing these to over 260 students through regular art sessions.

This exhibition brought together the artwork, stories and imagination of those children, filling the space with drawings, patterns and colour. ✨

This was our very first art exhibition, and over the next few posts, we can’t wait to share more from the day, the people and the beautiful community that made it all possible. ❤️

On 22nd February, something beautiful happened in Fort Kochi. ✨

Locals and visitors from around the world stopped by Vasco da Gama Square to write kind messages for students before their exams. To remind every student that they are not alone.

Over 260 handwritten messages were collected. Here’s how they reached students:

💌 Each note was shared directly with students in our partner schools
🎬 The messages were turned into a video for teachers to show in classrooms
🗞️ The video was featured as a newspaper insert in Malayala Manorama
📍 The same insert was distributed to tuition centres across Kochi

A huge thank you to everyone who wrote a message, to the incredible voices who brought those words to life, and to every single person who showed up and made this possible.

You are the heart of this. 🙏

Remember how stressful exam season felt?
A few kind words can really mean a lot to a student right now.

This Sunday, we’re setting up a small space at Fort Kochi where anyone can come and write a short, encouraging message for students who are preparing for their exams.

We’ll be collecting these messages and turning them into a small digital booklet and simple posters to share with students before exams, through schools and community spaces.

If you’re around, come by, write a note, and help brighten a student’s day. 🤍
