II Update II

Today, on the 78th death anniversary of Ru Semsonsing Ingti, we, the KKSA pay our deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude to this great leader. He is populary known as "The Architect of present-day Karbi Anglong". His visionary leadership, immense contribution, and noble sacrifice laid the foundation for the progress and identity of our land.

We shall always remember him with honour and pride and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

As the founder of present-day Karbi Anglong, formerly the Mikir Hills District, he laid the foundation of identity, unity, and self-governance for the region. Update II Today, we the KKSA and All Tiwa Students Association (ATSU) and various socialist activists united in solidarity to protest the proposed granting of ST status to the six communities of Assam. A rally that was mainly organized by the ATSU. The KKSA students have also participated fully on the rally regardless of background, religion, status etc. The rally was organized from the Jagiroad Regional Committee Office to the main Jagiroad Market, where we raised our collective voice, demanding that the government immediately withdraw its proposal.

We stand firm in protecting our Constitutional rights, cultural identity, and indeginious heritage from being undermined by this move.

Update ll We, the KKSA along with all existing Schedule Tribes Communities of Assam, firmly oppose and strongly condemn the proposal to grant ST status to the six communities. This moves threatens our constitutional safeguards, identity, and long-protected cultural heritage. Our objection is not based on hatred, but on our responsibility to defend our rights, language, traditions, and socio-political security from dilution. Granting ST status to larger and influential groups will directly weaken our protections and opportunities meant for genuine tribal communities.

We stand united and resolute, demanding the government withdraw this proposal in the interest of justice and indigenous survival.

Commemorating the 71st death anniversary of our 1st CEM of Mikir Hills District Council, Late Khorsing Terang, who served from 23 June 1952 to 28 November 1958 for the people of Karbi Anglong.

Whose decisions were bold and decisive in uplifting and strengthening the people of Karbi Anglong. Today, he is remembered by all the Karbis living in Karbi Anglong. He was also an architect of the Karbi Anglong.

The Khorsing Terang Memorial Park is named in his honour,and statues have been erected to commemorate him.

The 9th KKSA Frshers' Day held yesterday was a great success without any difficulties or interruptions. We were honoured to have among us our Special Guest, Sir Semson Teron, President of KSA, C C, ( Richikip Methengtom ) along with our Guests of Honour, Dr. Mahananda Borah, Principal of DCK, and Dr. Bhaben Ch. Neog Principal of JC.

We sincerely thank them for gracing the occasion and making the program truly wonderful. Their inspiring speeches guided us on how to lead and serve the community with dedication and humility. Each of their words left a deep impact and motivated us greatly.
The 9th KKSA Freshers' Day concluded successfully thanks to the participation and support of all invitees and attendees. Your presence made the day vibrant and memorable.
