Objectives:

1.To nurture the habit of Hardwre Modelling among the students.

Invention Factory® India is a six-week summer program conducted in IIT Bombay, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Jammu in which IIT/NIT/BITS students from across India, work in teams of three, Prototype, Pitch and Patent inventions.

It is a great pleasure to share the achievements of ProDex in the same.

1. Madhvi Dubey from ProDex Won the Invention Factory 2023 IIT Gandhinagar winning a prize money of INR 2,00,000 Rupees.
She along with her teammate created a wearable breast pump with milk refrigeration for working mothers. Incorporated into a bra, this product couples a comfortable pumping mechanism with a portable cooling unit that can preserve milk for up to 24 hours.
Their journey was evaluated on two crucial fronts: the clarity of the pitch and the practical functionality of their prototype. It was essential that the concept resonated with people, helping them understand the real-world problem which was aimed to solve.

2. Anirvan Krishna and ⁨Pratham Vishwakarma from ProDex participated in Invention Factory IIT Gandhinagar and gained an honourable mention with a prize money of 15k. Their device is a walking aid for preventing older adults from falling due to Syncope. The device monitored the heart rate of the user through sensors embedded in the handle. The algorithm predicted the neurocardiogenic syncope 2 minutes prior to its occurrence and automatically converted it into a chair for the user to sit down and avoid the fall due to syncope. Their device also gained a written validation for its reliability and potential from Dr. Bhavesh Roy, one of the top cardiologists in Ahmedabad.

3. Kartheek Valeti⁩ participated in Invention Factory IIT Jammu. Their product is a vegetable chopper that chops vegetables in 3 dimensions by a rotational motion using a crank where there is a 3 layer blade system and a pusher that pushes the vegetables on to the blades and a blade that makes to and fro motion in a horizontal plane to slice the vegetables uniformly to cubic pieces.

⁨4. Pratham Shree Mishra participated in Invention Factory IIT Bombay. Their device is an automated, toilet-integrated urinalysis system for convenient at-home urine testing, enabling early detection and ongoing monitoring of various health conditions.

We are excited to share the exemplary performance of ProDex Members at Invention Factory 2023.

Madhvi Dubey has won the Invention Factory 2023, IIT Gandhinagar. She along with her teammate have designed a working prototype of a wearable breast feeding apparatus that makes it possible to pump the milk even in public with the option of milk refrigeration ensuring the milk stays fresh for up to 24 hours. This wearable breast pump integrated into a bra, is designed keeping working mothers in mind.

Invention Factory® India is a six-week summer program in which IIT/NIT/BITS students from across India, working in teams, Prototype, Pitch and Patent inventions that each team has conceived of.

Five members from ProDex, Madhvi Dubey, Anirvan Krishna, Pratham Shree Mishra, Kartheek Valeti and Pratham Vishwakarma were selected to participate at various sites (IIT Bombay, IIT Gandhinagar and IIT Jammu) of Invention Factory, 2023 in which Anirvan Krishna and Pratham Vishwakarma's product received an honorable mention at IIT Gandhinagar. We are happy that our talents are showcased on such a platform that is closely aligned with our goals and has also been a great learning experience for our members. When we first came to this campus, the huge waves of unknown possibilities had washed us away. But then came,these people as a warm breeze and guided us through. We are grateful for all those fundae, mischiefs, long discussions, treats, 'magical' nights (literally) and most importantly for a place where we work together without the bounds of hierarchy, a place where only our interest towards the work matters. We are sure that we will take your vision and goals forward, because we know that you will always have our back . It is hard to say adios, but hey we know that there's no expiry date of being a ProDex member!
