Rahat Samarpan Seva Samiti, in association with Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, is working towards making the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi more eco-friendly and sustainable through the “Mati Ganesh – Siddh Ganesh” initiative.
As the first phase, 64 participants have been trained in eco-friendly Ganesha idol making:
🔹 Saraswati School – 28 students
🔹 Government Excellence Higher Secondary School, Vijayraghavgarh – 19 students
🔹 Navankur Sakhis – 5
🔹 Gramin Vikas Prasphutan Samiti – 12 members
🎯 Our Next Goal
We are now taking this initiative to Tikar, Bhaiswahi, Jignodi, Sanghwara and Vijayraghavgarh in Katni district, with a target of training 500 people.
Our vision is to create 1,000 eco-friendly clay Ganesha idols and, after Visarjan, connect the clay with a plantation drive targeting 1,000 trees.
This initiative is designed to reduce the environmental impact of idol immersion, promote natural clay idols, and create long-term awareness about water-body protection and sustainable celebrations.
From Ganesh idol to tree plantation — turning devotion into a cycle of environmental responsibility.
