The problem which in rural India face may vary from region to region based on the local tradition, custom, culture, and amenities. I have seen my rural area Porumamilla of Kadapa district in the state of Andra Pradesh for quite a long time and I would like to through some light on the problems faced by women/girls in this region. I have been observed problems like “lack of economic opportunity and
empowerment, poverty, unemployment, lack of education, Widows with no financial support, Educational problems, low confidence, Traditional barriers etc. Women empowerment refers to increase and improve the social, economic, political, and legal strength of the women. Empowerment of women would mean encouraging women to self-reliant, independent, have positive self-esteem. Economic empowerment is central to women’s ability to overcome poverty, cope with shocks and improve their well-being. When women realize their economic goals, whether it growing a business, improving their home and able to provide for themselves and their families.
