Freemasons of Jaipur Bring Notebooks, Stationery, and Smiles to Jamdoli’s Special Children and Adults
Brethren of Lodge Kohinoor 139, Lodge Xavier 459 and Lodge Rajputana 460,
visited a centre and school for mentally challenged children and adults at Jamdoli on Tuesday, as part of the Universal Brotherhood Day (UBD) 2026 celebrations.
Many of the beneficiaries at the centre, though adults in age, carry a mental age comparable to that of young children — and it was their innocence and unguarded joy that made the morning’s visit especially memorable for the visiting Brethren.
On the occasion, the Freemasons distributed 525 notebooks of 175 pages each, 130 stationery kits, and 250 chocolates to the residents.
The happiness, excitement, and genuine smiles on the faces of the recipients were, in the words of the organising Brethren, truly priceless — a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in someone’s life.
“Freemasonry stands for Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, and it was deeply satisfying to see these values translated into action,” said the organising Brethren, adding that the Society remains committed to supporting and uplifting the less privileged members of society.
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others,” the Brethren reflected, summing up the spirit of the day’s visit.
The Jamdoli visit forms part of the closing week of the Jaipur Lodges’ month-long UBD 2026 calendar of service, which continues with a free eye check-up camp on 24 June — Universal Brotherhood Day’s main day — and a Walkathon at Patrika Gate, Jawahar Circle, on 28 June.
