"The word partners is very important because we operate by partnership. We have intimate relationships with the countries where we work. We have a long-term relationship." - Steve DeVoss, President and Founder of GSP
Since 1992, GSP has focused on the synthesis of sports development and social development by pursuing three primary objectives: (1) increase participation through grassroots progra
ms for underserved, hard-to-reach populations including children, women and girls, differently abled persons, elderly, underprivileged, war-ravaged, and rural and ethnic minorities; (2) improve performance through camps, competitions, clinics, conferences, leagues, and management; and (3) inspire purpose through health, fitness, humanitarian, community development, and peace initiatives. In 2014, GSP created the trade name SportForward, through which it continues to fulfill its mandate to serve the underserved through sport. Specifically, SportForward’s mission is to use sport as an instrument of progress by conveying messages that empower, values that elevate, principles that educate, and ideals that build lasting peace.
