On 5th September 2026, Manasa Institute of Child Health & Disability Studies organised a special seminar on โThe Art of Seeing Possibilities in Every Child: The Role of Special Educators in Nurturing Potential.โ
Addressing the gathering, ๐๐ฟ. ๐. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ต ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ, Associate Dean, School of Healthcare, Rishihood University and Member, Medical Advisory Council (MAC), National Medical Commission (NMC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, highlighted the vital role of special educators in guiding children and parents, stressing preventive care, early intervention, participation and inclusion. He also presented a new desktop computer to Manasa on behalf of Global Illumine Foundation.

The celebrations featured cultural performances by the children of Manasa, followed by prizes and mementoes for special educators, assistant teachers, therapists, caregivers and support staff in recognition of their dedicated service.
On the occasion of Teachersโ Day on 5th September 2026, Manasa Institute of Child Health & Disability Studies organised a special seminar on the theme โThe Art of Seeing Possibilities in Every Child: The Role of Special Educators in Nurturing Potential.โ The programme brought together distinguished Guests of Honour, special educators, therapists, parents, caregivers, support staff and the children of Manasa to celebrate the dedication and transformative role of teachers and special educators.
Addressing the gathering as a Guest of Honour, ๐๐ฟ. ๐. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ต ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ, Associate Dean, School of Healthcare, Rishihood University and Member, Medical Advisory Council (MAC), National Medical Commission (NMC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India highlighted that special educators are teachers not only to children but also to their parents. He emphasised their important role in guiding parents in understanding and nurturing the potential of children with special needs. He stressed the importance of preventive care and early intervention in enabling children with intellectual disabilities to achieve greater participation and inclusion. He also shared his observation regarding an increase in cases of autism and intellectual disabilities following natural calamities. On the occasion, Dr. Santhosh Kumar presented a new desktop computer to Manasa on behalf of Global Illumine Foundation, of which he is the General Secretary.

He appreciated the dedication and commitment of special educators in equipping children with intellectual disabilities with essential living skills, describing their contribution as unparalleled. He also emphasised that organisations such as Manasa deserve the support and encouragement of society.
The seminar also featured cultural performances by the children of Manasa, adding joy and warmth to the Teachersโ Day celebrations. In recognition of their dedicated service, prizes and mementoes were presented to special educators, assistant teachers, therapists, caregivers and support staff.
Parents and well-wishers participated in the programme, making the celebration a meaningful expression of appreciation for those who work tirelessly to nurture the abilities, independence and dignity of children with intellectual disabilities.
