Family Services Hyderabad, is an organization made up of individuals committed to making a difference in the lives of the Deaf, Elderly, & Street Children. For more than a decade, we have been conducting weekly Motivational and Character building classes for Deaf young people at St. Patrick School, Secunderabad. Currently we have about 150 Deaf who attend these classes weekly. We also organize var
ious events for the Deaf community, including the “International Week of the Deaf” celebrations for the last ten years. Other ongoing services that we give the Deaf include Health Camps, Marriage Counseling, Interpreter services, etc. We also work among the Elderly, along with the Home for the Aged, Bhoiguda, which has about 130 elderly residents. For the past 8 years, every month we celebrate the birthdays of the elderly people from the Home and organize fun events to make this occasion memorable for them. This is an event that is really looked forward to by the elderly. We also work with underprivileged children. We feel that the best investment of our resources and manpower is to supplement the efforts of other dedicated individuals and institutions in an effort to improve the quality of the life of the children in these shelters. Besides our own active involvement we appeal to the concerned individuals and the business community for their needs. Our main services to these centers include renovation of the shelters, helping to provide scholastic and moral education for the children, and organising excursions, outings, and camps. We also help to provide Spiritual Support and Counseling to individuals, families, and companies. Helping people to overcome stress, anxiety, and family difficulties is a goal that we work daily to accomplish through group seminars and sessions, individual and personal counseling, retreats and workshops, motivational products and magazines, etc.
