First Awareness Session of Academic Year 2026-27
After Summer Holidays CITIZEN FIRST HUMAN RIGHTS has conducted Awareness session at Jama E Osmania Govt High School, Vidyanagar, Musheerabad Mandal
The Centre for Health and Rights (CFHR) TEAM successfully conducted its first awareness session of the new academic year. The session was facilitated by *Shalini Jadhav Madam* and was organized for adolescent girls studying in Classes 8th, 9th and 10th
Objective
To equip students with essential life skills and health knowledge as they begin the academic year, and to create a safe space for discussing topics often considered sensitive.
Topics Covered
1Health & Hygiene Importance of personal hygiene, menstrual health management, nutrition, and daily self-care practices for adolescent girls.
2.Opposite Gender Attraction Age-appropriate discussion on physical and emotional changes during puberty, understanding attraction, setting personal boundaries, and making safe choices.
3.Cancer Awareness Basic information on common cancers, importance of early detection, self-examination, and breaking myths & stigma around the disease.
Participation & Response
The session saw active participation from the students. They engaged openly during the Q&A segment and shared that the information was both new and helpful.
