A highly insightful and productive seminar on “Building Safe Communities: Responsibilities of RWAs and Housing Societies” was successfully held on 29th April 2026 at KLN Prasad Auditorium, Federation House, Hyderabad.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the distinguished speakers who enriched the session with their expertise:
🔹 Shri Vikram Singh Mann, IPS
Director General, Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department
Shri Vikram Singh Mann delivered a detailed presentation on Disaster Response and Fire Safety, strongly highlighting the pivotal role of RWAs in community-level preparedness, early warning systems, and coordination with fire & emergency services.
🔹 Shri K. Ashok Reddy, IAS
Managing Director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB)
Shri Ashok Reddy, in his address, emphasized sustainable water management, infrastructure resilience, and the critical responsibilities of RWAs in ensuring safe, well-maintained, and compliant housing societies. He has also hinted at focusing on the regular running of STPs in gated communities and monetizing the treated water for the RWA.
The sessions brought sharp focus on the practical and regulatory roles RWAs must play in fire safety, disaster management, legal compliance, and community well-being.
Several RWAs took part in this seminar.
Looks like RWAs will be seeing a lot more compliances in the near future.
