Minutes of the Meeting
Venue: Residence of Rtn. Dakshayani
Attendance: 18 Members
The meeting commenced with a prayer by Rtn. Sangeeta Satish, followed by the Four-Way Test led by Rtn. Pavitra.
President Rtn. Anupama warmly welcomed the gathering and expressed her gratitude to all the members for their presence. She extended a special thank you to Rtn. Dakshayani for graciously hosting the meeting at her residence.
Secretary Rtn. Indu Rekha presented the minutes of the previous meeting, which were accepted by the members.
President Rtn. Anupama then briefed the members on the upcoming Godhanam Project, planned for the first week of August.
Rtn. Deepa brought to the notice of the club reg the tution feeof a five-year-old orphan boy and requested the club to consider sponsoring his tuition fees. Members shared various suggestions, and the proposal will be discussed further before arriving at a final decision.
President Rtn. Anupama also introduced a Newspaper Collection Project, initiated by the Rotary Club of Shoolagiri, based on a request from an ashram in Chennai. The newspapers collected will be converted into paper bags, creating a source of income for the needy. It was decided that both branches of Studio 11 Family Salon would serve as collection points for old newspapers before they are sent to the ashram. Rtn. Vijayalakshmi accepted to serve as the Project Chair for this initiative.
The members also discussed organizing a Hair Donation Drive for Cancer Patients, which will be taken up as one of the club’s major service projects during the Rotary year.
President Rtn. Anupama reminded the members about the District Admin Seminar scheduled on 16th August at Yercaud. Rtn. Shubangi, District Admin Chair, requested maximum participation from our club, and encouraged to register at the earliest.
Rtn. Dakshayani thanked all the members for accepting her invitation and appreciated everyone’s active participation. She also motivated members to step forward and take up leadership responsibilities within the club.
The President informed the members that after a grace period of 15 minutes, meetings will commence with the members present to respect everyone’s time and ensure meetings conclude as scheduled. It was also decided that a nominal fine would be levied on members arriving late or remaining absent without prior intimation which will
Be used for projects .
As a token of appreciation , President Rtn. Anupama presented gifts to the first members who arrived for the meeting. Rtn. Meenakshi and Rtn. Revathi received the gifts.
Rtn. Meenakshi informed the members that she would be travelling to the UK for the next few months. President Rtn. Anupama and Rtn. Shubangi encouraged her to meet Rotary members there & exchange club flags, and explore opportunities for future international joint projects.
Secretary Rtn. Indu Rekha and Treasurer Rtn. Subhashini reminded all members to clear their pending subscription dues at the earliest to enable the club to remit the RI & other dues before 31st July without any delay.
Finally, Secretary Rtn. Indu Rekha proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all the members for their valuable presence and active participation. She also conveyed heartfelt thanks to Rtn. Dakshayani for hosting the meeting and supporting the club’s initiatives.
The meeting concluded on a joyful note with fun-filled games, followed by a delicious lunch lovingly prepared and brought by our members. The afternoon was filled with fellowship, laughter, and strengthened bonds, making it a memorable gathering for everyone.
