This is to let you know that I will be disowning both my brother Indranil Bhattacharya and his wife Sonali Bhattacharyya. However, disowning a family member is not specified by law in India. But due to their dishonest and degrading behavior against me, I have disowned them and have nothing to do with them. I am going to publish this information as an announcement in a few widely circulated newspapers as adviced by my lawyer. They are now demeaning me, but they are unable to respond to my basic inquiries, such as why, after registered at Bhavani Bhavan in 2021, did they not provide me a copy of the deed stating that I would get their flat and they would get the one I currently living. Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya informed me before to the registration that neither of the flats would be sold and that we both would not be able to sell the properties. He also promised to show me the draft of the deed copy. However, upon obtaining a copy of the deed from the court in Green Park, where I currently reside, after two arduous years of waiting, I found that it was a gift deed, and he was now the owner of the apartment as during the donor's lifetime, a properly drafted and registered gift deed instantly transfers title of the property to the donee. Why he didn't mention it to me and my father before the registration that it will be a gift deed not a will.Later my father also told me Mr Indranil Bhattacharya also didn't show the draft copy.
Despite not showing me the draft copy, I accompanied him to the registration office because I believed that after registration, I would receive a copy of the promised flat's deed within a stpiluted time. To my surprise, however, he didn't give me the deed copy. Instead, after a few days of registration he told me that my father wanted to paint the house, so they brought a man who he and his wife claimed was a house painter. However, when I questioned Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya about why he was trying to do this without providing me with my deed copy of the flat that he promised, they left the flat.
Two years after the incident, his wife misled me into believing that they needed the flat's address for the current account. They also hung some posters of her company's name in front of the flat door, and some bank people visited the flat.However, I later found that they had attempted to mortgage the property by providing the copy of the flat's deed by misleading me.
Even this year, when I asked Indranil Bhattacharya why he wasn't giving me a copy of my deed and why he hadn't said that it would be a gift deed even though he had informed me that neither of the flat would be sold.
My primary objection is that when you have a sibling, you shouldn't or can't make your own judgment and disregard your father's. Why aren't minimum ethics and transparency be maintained? I've been waiting for my deed copy for four long years, and now you're accusing me and sending me a color xerox copy of the deed. Why didn't you give it to me sooner when it was registered in 2021? I felt humiliated by the copy sent by his lawyer and didn't know if it was original or not, so I sent it back. It was his duty to provide the deed copy to me after he had registered it.
Since 2023, I have requested my father to ask Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya to provide me with a copy of the deed for the apartment where he currently stays. This is because I don't trust verbal assurances, and the copy I received from the court regarding the flat where I currently reside completely shocked me.
However, because Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya is arrogant and thinks he is the only right person in the world, my father, an elderly simple person, is avoid to confront him.He believes he knows everything and doesn't listen to anyone.
Since March 2025, Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya has prevented my father from visiting me every evening because he stays with him. He also barred me from going to his apartment to see my father. My father paid me a covert visit in May and informed me—which I recorded—that Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya's property grid prevented him from doing so. However, I have an enormous amount of respect for my father, so it pains me that even though I live close by, I haven't been able to see him for eight or nine months. After all, he is also my father, so how can someone prevent me from seeing him?
He and his wife publicly stated that he was unable to go because of his poor health, but this was untrue. They apparently forbade anyone from meeting him when he was by himself in the flat, but they just barred him from visiting me, which is why they always take him along when they went elsewhere. Even domestic helpers claim that they locked him out while they were abroad, but I was unable to confirm this.
I have my father's emails and video footages, in which he alleged that Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya of sifhpgoning money from his pension account. Mr. Bhattacharya even linked his phone number to my father's bank account without my father's knowledge so that he could monitor his transactions. However, I strongly disagreed with that since I believe he only has the right to know his bank account information and to give his money to whoever he chooses.
In order for him to monitor his financial information, I brought him a cell phone. Unfortunately, Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya is now accusing me of embezzling his money, despite the fact that he actually owned the flat where I currently live as well as all of its maintenance costs, including the property tax penalty but he owned the flat by deceiving the facts to me and my father.
My father did a will to give this flat to me but I couldn't sell it in my lifetime and after me my nephew will get the flat.Neighbors advised my father to do this because they believed Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya would not give me any property because of their nature. However, Mr. Bhattacharya rejected the will.
I continuously informed him via letter that because of his deceptive conduct against me, I have chosen not to claim any property and have already rented a flat. Because I don't recognize Mr. Indranil Bhattacharya and his wife Sonali Bhattacharya anymore as brother and sister in law because I disown them. I would want to give my father the key to the flat where I currently reside.However, they don't send him because they think my father could give me some cash or property if they send him to see me.They believe they own all of their father's properties and money.Since my shifting to my rented apartment has been delayed and I only pay the rent each month without really living there, I would like to turn over the key today to my father only, nobody else.
