উত্তৰ পূবৰ নাৰী শিক্ষাৰ বাটকটীয়া স্বৰূপে ভূমুকি মাৰিছিল গুৱাহাটীৰ সন্দিকৈ মহাবিদ্যালয়ে । বিংশ শতিকাৰ চতুৰ্থ দশকত ৰক্ষণশীল সমাজখনৰ বিৰুদ্ধে গৈ নাৰীৰ উচ্চ শিক্ষাৰ প্ৰতি লক্ষ্য ৰাখি বিদূষী মহিলা ৰাজাবালা দাসে স্থাপন কৰিছিল এই সন্দিকৈ মহাবিদ্যালয় ।১৯৩৯ চনত গুৱাহাটীত ৰাজ্যৰ ভিতৰতে প্ৰথমখন ছোৱালী মহাবিদ্যালয় স্থাপন কৰা হৈছিল । মাত্ৰ দুগৰাকী ছাত্ৰীৰে আৰম্ভ কৰা মহাবিদ্যালয়খনত সম্প্ৰতি প্ৰায় ২৬০০ গৰাকী ছাত্ৰীয়ে অধ্যয়ন কৰি আছে । ৰাজাৱালা দাসৰ সপোন, অহোপুৰুষাৰ্থ, কষ্ট , ত্যাগৰ ফলতে মহাবিদ্যালয়খনে আজি চৌদিশে জ্ঞানৰ পোহৰ বিলাবলৈ সক্ষম হৈছে । গৌৰৱোজ্বল ৮৫ বছৰ অতিক্ৰম কৰিলে । নাৰীক উচ্চ শিক্ষাৰ প্ৰতি আগ্ৰহী কৰি ১৯৩৯ চনৰ ১৬ জুলাইত গুৱাহাটীৰ পাণবজাৰ হাইস্কুলত দুগৰাকী ছাত্ৰীৰে গুৱাহাটী ছোৱালী কলেজ নামেৰে আৰম্ভ কৰা মহাবিদ্যালয়খন পৰৱৰ্তী সময়ত সন্দিকৈ মহাবিদ্যালয় হিচাপে নামাংকৃত কৰা হয় ।

সন্দিকৈয়ে একোগৰাকী মহিলাক দৃঢ় বিশ্বাসী আৰু সক্ষম হবলৈ শিকায় । সন্দিকৈয়ে আমাক বিজয়ৰ পতাকা উৰুৱাবলৈ বাট দেখুৱাই । আমাক কেতিয়াও ৰৈ যাবলৈ নহয় আগবাঢ়ি বৈ যাবলৈ সন্দিকৈয়ে কয় । কিমান যে কবিতাৰ শিৰোনাম এই সন্দিকৈ কলেজ ।সন্দিকৈ ছোৱালী মহাবিদ্যালয় যাতে সদায় উজলি থাকে । আজীৱন গৌৰৱ কৰিব পৰাকৈ এইখন প্ৰাণৰো প্ৰাণ আমাৰ আপোন সন্দিকৈ ছোৱালী মহাবিদ্যালয় ।
