The GGKSA Cotton University Unit came together to showcase the rich Karbi culture on World Folklore Day on 22nd August, 2026. Displaying an exhibition featuring our traditional attire and accessories, alongside performances of the traditional Lengpum Sokchon and a contemporary fusion dance.

We were deeply honored by the presence of Theang Teron (Doctoral Fellow, MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion, and Society Oslo & Research Associate, Centre for Karbi Studies) whose inspiring words as our guest speaker made the day even more meaningful.

Grateful for our roots and the chance to share our stories.
