यह फोटो आपके लिए शायद आम हो सकता है, क्योंकि इसके बैकग्राउंड में एक बड़ी और महंगी बिल्डिंग दिख रही है। यह आपके लिए इसलिए आम हो सकता है क्योंकि हो सकता है कि आप इसी तरह की बिल्डिंग में रहते हों और ऐसी ही गाड़ियों में घूमते हों।
मुझे जहां तक लगता है, इस बिल्डिंग में रहने वाले और ऐसी गाड़ियों में घूमने वाले लोगों के पास इतना पैसा तो होता ही होगा कि वे ₹500 या ₹5000 का गैस सिलेंडर खरीद सकें। लेकिन ये लोग सरकार के नजरिए में आते हैं।
जब सरकार दावा करती है—चाहे पेट्रोलियम मंत्री हरदीप पुरी हों, गृह मंत्री अमित शाह हों या प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी—तो कहा जाता है कि किसी को कोई समस्या नहीं है, विपक्ष केवल पैनिक फैला रहा है और बेवजह सवाल उठा रहा है।
लेकिन यह फोटो कुछ और ही कहानी बयां करता है।
इस फोटो में जो आदमी दिख रहा है, वैसे करोड़ों लोग इस देश में हैं। इनकी संख्या करोड़ों में है, लेकिन जब संसद में पेट्रोलियम मंत्री यह कहते हैं कि हमारे पास ईंधन के पर्याप्त साधन हैं, तो सवाल उठता है—वह किसके लिए कह रहे हैं?
क्या यह उन लोगों के लिए है जिनके पास पहले से ही सब कुछ है—महंगी गाड़ियां और आलीशान घर? उनके लिए तो गैस खरीदना और उपलब्ध होना आसान है।
लेकिन उस व्यक्ति का क्या, जो अपनी मां का बोझ उठाए हुए है, जो एक दिन की मजदूरी छोड़कर जंगलों में भटककर जलावन (लकड़ी) ढूंढकर लाता है? उसकी बात नहीं होती।
आप समझिए—जिन लोगों की संख्या ज्यादा है, वे अक्सर आंकड़ों में नहीं दिखते। और सरकारें अक्सर उन्हीं के लिए नीतियां बनाती हैं, जिनकी संख्या कम है लेकिन संसाधन अधिक हैं।
जो गरीब है, जो मजदूर है, जो दिन के ₹500–₹600 कमाता है—वह ₹500 या ₹5000 का गैस सिलेंडर कैसे खरीदे?
कैसे इस देश में समानता स्थापित होगी?
एक तरफ ऐसा वर्ग है, जहां भरपूर पकवान बनते हैं, पैसा है, सुख-सुविधाएं हैं, और बच्चे खुश हैं। वहीं दूसरी तरफ ऐसा वर्ग है, जो ₹600 की मजदूरी करके भी अपने परिवार का पेट भरने के लिए संघर्ष कर रहा है।
कई ऐसी खबरें और वीडियो सामने आते हैं, जहां लोग कहते हैं कि उनके बच्चों ने 10 दिन से ठीक से खाना नहीं खाया। कभी-कभी वे होटल से बचा हुआ खाना लाकर उन्हें खिला देते हैं।
तो उनके बारे में कौन बात करेगा?
क्या हरदीप पुरी, अमित शाह और नरेंद्र मोदी जब कहते हैं कि हमारे पास गैस और अन्य ईंधनों के पर्याप्त साधन हैं, तो क्या वे इन लोगों के बारे में भी बात कर रहे होते हैं?
या फिर वे केवल उन लोगों की बात कर रहे होते हैं, जो आंकड़ों में इसलिए आते हैं क्योंकि उनके पास पहले से ही सब कुछ है?

This photo may seem ordinary to you, because in the background you can see a large and expensive building. It may appear normal to you because perhaps you live in such buildings and travel in such expensive cars.
As far as I understand, the people who live in these buildings and move around in such cars can easily afford to buy a gas cylinder worth ₹500 or even ₹5000. These are the people who fall within the government’s visible framework.
When the government makes claims—whether it is Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Home Minister Amit Shah, or Prime Minister Narendra Modi—it is often said that there is no problem, that the opposition is merely creating panic and raising unnecessary questions.
But this photo tells a very different story.
The man visible in this photo represents millions of people in this country. Their numbers are in crores, yet when statements are made in Parliament that we have abundant petroleum resources, the question arises—who is this abundance really for?
Is it for those who already have everything—luxurious homes and expensive cars? For them, access to gas and fuel is easy.
But what about that person who is carrying the burden of his mother, who skips a day’s wage and wanders in forests just to collect firewood for cooking? No one talks about him.
You need to understand this—those who are greater in number often do not appear in official data. Governments tend to focus more on those who are fewer in number but possess greater resources.
The poor, the laborers, the people who earn ₹500–₹600 a day—how can they afford a gas cylinder costing ₹500 or ₹5000?
How will equality ever be established in such a country?
On one side, there is a section of society where there is abundance—good food, wealth, comfort, and happy children. On the other side, there is a section that struggles daily, even after earning ₹600, just to feed their families.
There are many reports and videos where people say their children have not eaten properly for days. Sometimes, they bring leftover food from hotels just to feed them.
So, who will speak for them?
When Hardeep Singh Puri, Amit Shah, and Narendra Modi say that we have sufficient gas and fuel resources, are they also speaking for these people?
Or are they only referring to those who already have everything and are counted in statistics because of their privilege?
