Pewe Social Welfare Society was formed in 2015 and has been actively reaching out to people providing wazeefa, medical aid and engaged in several charity and welfare works in Pewe and its vicinity. Pewe village is located in the western coast of Maharashtra amidst serene mountains and creeks. Most of the youth are either working in the Middle East or migrated to Mumbai. The village is inhabited by
some less fortunate widows, aged and a few members of younger generation. Those of the young generation have less opportunities for growth as the village lies in a remote part at least 2hours bus ride from the main city Chiplun. A tiny school and a narrow village road in the name of infrastructure, the village is left with mercy of the Almighty in time of medical emergency. Hence looking at all these aspects the youth at Pewe Social Welfare Society felt a deep sense of responsibilities towards the root we belong to. With the absence of so many basic facilities it is unimaginable to dream of a bright future for the new generation and far too difficult present for the old and the destitute. As a group solely dedicated to charity and with pure intentions no member accepts, expects or is hired for fees or salary. Other than this we feel honored and blessed to inform that the amount collected for charity has been immediately put to use.
