Himashri Boro De@th Case: No Signs of Physical Assault or S@xual Misconduct Found, Says Andhra Police

The post-mortem report of 20-year-old Himashri Boro, who died under mysterious circumstances in Andhra Pradesh while travelling back to Assam by train, has reportedly found no signs of physical assault or s@xual misconduct, according to Andhra Pradesh Police.

A senior police official stated that doctors found no evidence of physical assault or sexual misconduct. However, authorities are yet to determine whether her fall from the train was accidental or deliberate.

Investigators are examining CCTV footage, call detail records (CDRs), train reservation charts and a video Himashri reportedly sent to a friend before the incident.

Police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with further details awaited as authorities work to establish the exact circumstances surrounding her death.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) chairperson Mamata Banerjee and several senior party leaders were detained by Delhi Police on Saturday (October 10) following a sit-in protest near her South Avenue residence in New Delhi.

The former West Bengal Chief Minister staged a dharna at a nearby bus stand in support of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) large-scale protest at Jantar Mantar.

The demonstrations are centred on opposition demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the voter list revision process.

Security officials said the leaders were taken into custody after refusing to vacate the protest site, allegedly in violation of orders prohibiting unlawful assembly.

Several senior TMC leaders, including MPs Derek O’Brien, Saket Gokhale and Dola Sen, were also detained. Police personnel and members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were involved in moving the leaders from the location.

TMC MP Saket Gokhale confirmed the incident through social media, posting photographs of the leaders inside a security vehicle. He said they were being taken to an undisclosed location.

Amid speculation on social media about a formal arrest, authorities reportedly clarified that the leaders had been placed under preventive detention.

MISSING GIRL ALERT | URGENT APPEAL

20 year old Himashri Boro, from Bonda, Guwahati, has reportedly gone missing while travelling aboard the 22503 Kanyakumari-Dibrugarh Vivek Express towards Guwahati.

She was reportedly last seen around 1:30 AM on October 6 at Visakhapatnam Junction. Around 2:39 AM, she allegedly told a friend that some boys were bullying and misbehaving with her. The call was reportedly disconnected shortly afterwards, and her phone has remained unreachable.
