DAMC was pleased to attend RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAAH 2024 organised by Women and Child Development Department at Resh*thang Gangtok East Sikkim.

POSHAN (Prime Minister's Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition) Abhiyaan aims to address the challenge of malnutrition in a mission-mode. It has been launched as an integrated nutrition support program to strengthen nutritional content, delivery, outreach and outcomes with focus on developing practices that nurture health, wellness and immunity to disease and malnutrition.

Honourable Minister of Social welfare department, woman and child and printing and stationary department Shri Samdup Lepcha emphasised the importance of nutrition where DAMC was also appreciated for taking part in social work- the refurbishing of 3 ICDS done in previous months.
We are keen on the project- the 2nd phase where we will again be working for the betterment of more ICDS.

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the sudden demise of our beloved senior-most brother Arrang Phanbuh aka BAHDENG former Chief of RERAM, who succumbed to a prolonged illness.
Our hearts are heavy as we mourn his loss.
We extend our heartfelt prayers for his departed soul and offer our deepest condolences to his bereaved family members during this incredibly difficult and painful time.
May your soul rest in peace.

DAMC congratulates Himalayan Breed Motorcycle Club for successfully organising a day ride from Gangtok to Nathu La in collaboration with 13th Mahar Regiment of Indian Army on the occasion of our 78th Independence Day. 🙌🏻

Child abuse is a serious and prevalent issue that affects millions of children worldwide. It can take many forms, including physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect. Child abuse can have long-lasting and devastating effects on a child’s physical and mental health, as well as their overall well-being; keeping the issue at its core, DIRTY ANGELS MOTORCYCLE CLUB organised the friendship ride and it was a successful event/ a day ride on 11th August starting MG Marg where a total of about 60 riders rode together with a message to STOP CHILD ABUSE.
The certificate of appreciation was given by DAMC to the members who participated for a noble cause.
We all should remember that 'THE BLACK AND BLUES MAY FADE AWAY, BUT THE PAIN INFLICTED WILL STAY.' So child abuse in any form should stop!

We invite all the Enfielders to join us on a day ride on 11th August at 9 A.M starting M.G marg, Gangtok.

On the auspicious occasion of 17th INTERNATIONAL EVEREST DAY and 110th birth anniversary of LATE TENZING NORGAY SHERPA, DIRTY ANGELS MOTORCYCLE CLUB was invited as a special guest by Sikkim Tourism Department to take part in Hill Walkathon (Take a walk towards healthy life) which began from Tourism MG marg to Raj Bhavan via Zero point and TNA starting 6:00 am.
The walkers were divided into 4 categories : Male senior, Female senior categories (45 years and above) and Open male, open female categories (below 45 years).
DAMC members participated with great zeal and enthusiasm, also, 4 members with their bikes escorted the walkers till the end.

"Refurbishing of ICDS"

We understand the importance of holistic development of children and empowerment of mother.
As ICDS plays a pivotal role in the improvement of nutritional and health status, laying the foundation for proper psychological, physical and social development of the child, altogether reducing the incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition, and school dropout at the later stage, we the DIRTY ANGELS motorcycle club is blessed to be able to renovate 3 ICDS of Gangtok Sikkim, initiative headed by three members:
1. Chandmari ICDS by Kinchok Tshering Bhutia
2. Lower Tathangchen ICDS by Rinzing Dorjee Bhutia
3. Bhanu Gram ICDS by Chandra Kumar Chettri.

We are grateful to the members of Oviya Arts Circle, Miss Deepa Rai (President), Mr Sagar S***a (Vice President), Mr Diwakar Lamichaney (General Secretary) and Mr Shiva Chettri (Executive member) Who helped us beautify and decorate the ICDS of Bhanugram. The work done by them is impressive as they’ve given a new life to the room, making it lively.

Last but not the least, we wholeheartedly thank Bhutan Riders for helping us financially for making this project a success.

In coming days we hope to indulge in more such number of projects that will help make a positive difference to the society.
