The Sikkim Christian Sports Committee, extend our warmest congratulations to Miss Gnersongmit Lepcha
of Men Rongong, Mangan, North Sikkim, on her outstanding achievement of scaling Mt. Everest on 21.05.2025 as part of the ITBP Women’s Mt. Everest Expedition.

Daughter of Lt. Phurba Lepcha and Kanchi Lepcha, Gnersongmit holds an MA in Lepcha from Sikkim University and joined ITBP in 2022. She secured 2nd position in Basic Mountaineering and 1st position in Advance Mountaineering at M&SI, Auli, Uttarakhand. Her first expedition was to Mt. Nun (7135m), Kargil, Ladakh on 13.08.2025.

Your courage and determination have brought great honor to our State and the Lepcha community. We salute your remarkable feat!
