Recently, the. Jkruds has expressed deep concern over reports of unsound and un hygienic tradition food items such as kababs, Rista and other wazwan dishes in many restaurants across Kashmir. Consumption of such sub-standard can lead to serious health issue including food poisoning,stomach infections and long term degistive disorder. The society warns that negligence in food quality not only endangers in food quality but also tarnishes the rich culinary heritage of Kashmir. In the interest of safeguarding community well-being, the organisation appeals to the general public to boycott any establishment found violating hygiene norms and to demand cleanliness, quality and accountability in every food outlet and we also strongly appeal to government to immediately investigate such cases, strictly regular monitoring food quality standards and impose exemplary punishment on restaurant owners involved in this inhumane and irresponsible practice

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un

With deep sorrow and a heavy heart, the Rural and Urban Development Society, Dab Ganderbal, mourns the sad demise of Syeda Taja, a revered and noble soul, who left for her heavenly abode on 13th May 2025.

She was the elder sister of Syed Muzafar Shah and the beloved mother of Dr. Syed Arshid Hussain (BMO Lar) and Syed Rashid Hussain.

Syeda Taja was a woman of great piety, compassion, and moral strength. Her life was dedicated to faith, family, and service to the community. She was known for her humility, her generous heart, and her deep spiritual values, which left a lasting impact on everyone who came into her life.

Her nurturing presence, wise counsel, and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew her. The vacuum created by her departure is deeply felt not only by her family but by the entire community of Dab Sadaith and beyond.

We pray to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, grant her the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and provide patience and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
