The Kalyana Krishna Samskrithi Bhavan, Thrippunithura, witnessed a momentous occasion on the 8th of September, as we gathered in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, cherished friends and family, and the adoring students of the remarkable Smt. Sreedevi Rajan. The inauguration of “Sreedevi Mani Mandapam”
Our hearts swelled with pride as the man of the hour, Professor Shri MK Sanoo, a true connoisseur of art and Smt. Sreedevi Rajan’s guru, unveiled this cultural marvel.
The venue itself is steeped in heritage, a place where the legends, Shri Kalamandalam Krishnan Nair and Smt. Kalamandalam Kallyanikutty Amma, once lived and breathed life into their art forms.
We were blessed beyond measure by the overwhelming turnout of Smt. Sreedevi Rajan's dedicated dance students, students and members of Cochin Refineries School where she had been the former Head of Malayalam Department and other esteemed members of the artistic community, celebrating seven incredible decades of her work and life.
The evening was graced with a mesmerizing performance dedicated to her by her devoted students and her beloved daughter, Smt. Smitha Rajan. It was an achievement and a moment of profound satisfaction to establish a platform that champions and promotes cultural arts in the name of the luminary Smt. Sreedevi Rajan, a true legend who shines solely through her talent and dedication. Mother of Mohiniyattam Sreedevi Rajan Smitha Rajan Rajmohan
