On the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti, the India Economic Development Association honours the life and legacy of Babasaheb — the man who dared to dream of an equal India, and then built the legal and constitutional architecture to make it possible.

Born into oppression, he rose to become the father of our Constitution, the voice of the voiceless, and an economic thinker far ahead of his time. His belief that political democracy is incomplete without economic democracy is the guiding principle of our work at IEDA.

Let us not just celebrate his birth anniversary — let us pledge to live his ideals by building communities where every Indian has equal access to opportunity, education, and economic dignity.

The Indian economic community has lost a leader who translated vision into tangible results with legendary efficiency. His absence will be deeply felt in the corridors of power and the sectors of industry alike.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pawar family and the people of Maharashtra.
Rest in peace, Ajit Dada. Your contribution to India’s growth story remains immortal.
