The "Scalable Smart Rural Governance" initiative is a collaborative project between the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India, and corporate innovation partners. The project is supported by the government for operational ex*****on and delivery of objectives. Its aim is to establish a holistic business and social platform to empower rural residents through technological tools, training, and resources

, enabling them to create and manage value within their own villages. This initiative brings together sponsoring firms and research organizations to develop use cases for a scalable smart village platform that leverages open innovation. The Smart Village Movement (SVM) focuses primarily on entrepreneurship, skill development, and maintaining strategic relationships with both government stakeholders and multinational corporations in Andhra Pradesh. Key areas include:

Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (Professional Development Centre): Equipping and empowering the rural population in their professional pursuits. Training and Access: Providing tools and training from open innovation practitioners and industry experts through PDC corporate partners. Certification Programs: Validating skills and capabilities to enhance employability and credibility. Open Innovation Platforms: Implemented in sectors like agriculture, healthcare, and education to foster entrepreneurship and job creation. The initiative is endorsed by the government and executed in partnership with corporates, ensuring high standards, timely delivery, and impactful curriculum. The goal is to reach and empower 1.2 million unemployed individuals across Andhra Pradesh through scalable, sustainable rural development.
