Project Overview

Inner Wheel Club of Dondaicha, in collaboration with Rawal Nursing Students and SDH Dondaicha, organized an awareness programme focusing on the care, dignity, and importance of breastfeeding women.

A simple and meaningful role play/drama was performed by the nursing students to explain the importance of breastfeeding, correct breastfeeding practices, and the recommended duration of breastfeeding.

The role play highlighted the nutritional, physical, and emotional benefits of breastfeeding for the baby, along with the importance of providing proper care, support, respect, and dignity to breastfeeding mothers.

Mrs. Leena Bundake, Principal of Rawal Nursing College and a member of the Inner Wheel Club of Dondaicha, supported the initiative.

The programme created awareness among 100+ beneficiaries and encouraged a supportive and respectful environment for breastfeeding women.

PROJECT REPORT:

On 5th August 2026, the Inner Wheel Club of Dondaicha celebrated World Breastfeeding Week at the Sub-District Hospital (Government Hospital), Dondaicha.

Dr. Avni Patil and Dr. Neha Parakh delivered an informative and interactive awareness session for pregnant women and newly delivered mothers. They explained the correct breastfeeding technique, the importance of initiating breastfeeding immediately after birth, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, and the continued benefits of breastfeeding for both the baby and the mother.

The doctors also discussed proper positioning and attachment during breastfeeding, the nutritional and immunity benefits of breast milk, and addressed common doubts and misconceptions. The entire session was conducted in simple and easy-to-understand language, enabling all participants to understand the importance of proper breastfeeding practices.

The program successfully created awareness among mothers and encouraged them to adopt healthy breastfeeding practices for the well-being of their babies.

Project Title: Awareness and Health Checkup for Diabetes Patients

Project Overview

The Inner Wheel Club of Dhondaicha organized an Awareness and Health Checkup for Diabetes Patients at Parakh Hospital, Dhondaicha.

During the camp, fasting blood sugar and post-lunch (postprandial) blood sugar tests were conducted for the patients. Sugar-free Enerjal (Zero Sugar) was distributed to all participants and patients.

Dr. Sachin Parakh, MBBS, MD (Medicine), delivered an informative lecture on diabetes prevention, treatment, precautions, healthy diet, regular exercise, lifestyle modification, and the importance of routine blood sugar monitoring. The session was actively attended by the participants and the patients, who were educated about diabetes management and encouraged to adopt healthy habits for a better quality of life.

On 31 July 2026, the Inner Wheel Club of Dondaicha, under the leadership of President Dr. Neha Parakh, in association with Dr. Praful Dugad (Gynecologist) and Dr. Sachin Parakh (MD Medicine), organized a health check-up camp for ASHA workers at Suvidha Hospital, Dondaicha. General health check-ups, essential laboratory tests, medicines, gifts, and refreshments were provided. The ASHA workers were also felicitated in recognition of their invaluable contribution as frontline healthcare warriors.
