A “Run for Unity” Marathon was successfully organized by Gundna Administration from GHSS Gundna via PHC Gundna, Post Office J&K Bank to Tehsil headquarters Gundna, witnessing massive participation from schools, civil society, officials, ICDS, Medical Department, and local residents.
With thousands joining hands, the event echoed a powerful message—“Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.” Students of GHSS Gundna actively participated, while officers from the Administration, Health Department, and J&K Police ensured smooth and successful conduct.

Unity March and Marathon on Drug Awareness Held at Tehsil Headquarters Gundna Under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan

Gundna, April 25, 2026: Under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, a Unity March and Marathon on drug awareness was successfully organized today on 25-04-2026 at Tehsil Hqr Gundna. The programme was conducted as part of the ongoing 100 Days Campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees of various departments, school children, and members of the general public, who joined hands to spread awareness against the menace of drug abuse.

Participants carried placards and messages promoting a drug-free society while emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in eradicating substance abuse from society.

The march reflected strong community support for the campaign and reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders towards building a healthier, safer, and addiction-free environment.

Meanwhile, as part of the campaign activities, cannabis (bhang) plants were also identified and uprooted from the surrounding areas, highlighting the proactive approach of the authorities and the local community in eliminating sources of substance abuse.

Whereas Principal GHSS Gundna, Tanveer Wani, was also present on the occasion and delivered an awareness lecture to the participants regarding the harmful effects of drugs and the need for early prevention through awareness and community participation.
