1901: First transatlantic radio signal received.
1920: First commercial radio broadcasting began.
1947: Transistor revolutionized radio electronics.
1960s: Satellite communication expanded globally.

Radio communication transformed information transfer by using electromagnetic waves to transmit signals without physical wires. The development of efficient antennas, frequency control, transmitters, and receivers made it possible to send voice and data over increasingly longer distances. These innovations improved the speed, reliability, and accessibility of communication and laid the foundation for modern wireless technologies used around the world.

Before 2000, continuous developments in vacuum tubes, transistors, integrated circuits, antennas, and satellite technology steadily enhanced radio communication. These advances supported broadcasting, aviation, maritime communication, navigation, emergency services, military communication, and long-distance connectivity. Eventually, they contributed to the development of wireless networks that became fundamental to modern telecommunications.
