Urja Uniform Rights & Justice Assured

On International Women’s Day 2026, it was an honour to receive the Woman of Substance Award for Excellence in Social Impact.

This recognition was received with deep gratitude, not as a milestone of arrival, but as a reminder of the journey ahead. Every small step taken, every life touched, and every voice amplified has been a collective effort.

This moment belongs to the communities we work with, the young girls who inspire us daily, and everyone who believes in creating change quietly yet consistently.

Urja remains committed to doing its bit, one step at a time, towards a more equal and compassionate world.

Equality isn’t about winning over men …it’s about walking beside them.

Patriarchy didn’t just exist outside us; it was quietly taught, repeated, and normalized within homes, across generations. Not out of malice, but out of fear, conditioning, and survival.

But what is learned can be unlearned.

The right kind of feminism isn’t loud for the sake of noise , it’s aware, inclusive, and freeing.
It supports choice. It questions norms. It raises both daughters and sons to think, not fear.

Change doesn’t always look like rebellion.
Sometimes, it looks like awareness. Like choosing differently. Like ending the cycle ..gently, but firmly.

There are moments in history when silence is broken—not with noise, but with courage.

These women did not just question power; they stood up to it. Against systems built to suppress, they chose resistance. Against fear, they chose voice. And in doing so, they didn’t just challenge injustice—they reshaped it.

Change is never easy, and it is never instant. But every act of courage leaves a mark, creating ripples that grow into movements.

Their stories remind us: real transformation begins when ordinary people refuse to accept what is wrong.

Financial Awareness is Power.

Not everything we see is the truth.
Sometimes, it takes one moment… one realization… to understand where we truly stand.

This social experiment is a reminder~
to become aware, to question, and to take charge of our financial independence.

Because knowing your worth also means knowing your value…financially, emotionally, and socially.

The real power begins when you decide where you stand.

.
Different roles,
the same quiet might,
A million stories shining bright.
She nurtures dreams,
She breaks each wall,
She rises gently
Yet stands tall.

In every form,
her strength is drawn,
A timeless power,
endlessly born.
Today we celebrate the light she’s spun…
Every woman, every one.

A 12-year-old girl and her single mother moved the court in 2025 seeking correction of the child’s name and caste in school records.

The father’s name had been entered at birth. But circumstances changed. The father later faced a criminal case and the child grew up entirely in the mother’s care.

The Education Department refused the correction citing the Secondary School Code.

The Court stepped in with a powerful observation:

School records cannot become instruments of stigma or forced identity. When a child is raised solely by the mother, records must reflect that reality. A child’s identity cannot be imposed through a disconnected father.

Justice must reflect life, not paperwork.
