Brilliant Bhartiya Shiksha Samitii was started as a civil society with the prime objective of empowerment of children and women for self-reliance. We believe that the high rate of illiteracy, cultural subjugation of women, a general lack of socio-political awareness, severe neglect in terms of health, economic exploitation are the key factors which need to be tackled in all programs aiming at chan
ging life and living of women in our society. Founded by Amita Sharma. In 1997, the organization was honored by the highest state award for its work in making a difference to the lives of many women by the government of Delhi. Since 1991 the organization has trained over 40,000 women and made them self-dependent by teaching them sewing, cooking, painting, music, singing, dance, beautician, self-defense, and yoga etcetera free of cost. In 1999, the organisation opened a primary school for the kids of the underprivileged.
