Today marks the 1st of Muharram, the beginning of the Hijri year 1447 — a sacred time of reflection, remembrance, and renewal.

💫 Muharram is one of the four sacred months in Islam. It reminds us of two powerful events:

The Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — a journey of faith, courage, and purpose.

The sacrifice and stand of Imam Hussain (RA) at Karbala — a timeless symbol of truth and justice.

As we step into this new Islamic year, let’s take a moment to:

Hajj Yatra 2024 News:

This year, Hajj applicants will not be required to pay the registration fee of 300 rupees. The Hajj Committee has waived the registration fee. However, the convenience fee has been doubled. Instead of the previous 1,000 rupees, applicants will now have to pay 2,000 rupees. The last date for Hajj applications has been set as September 9. Additionally, individuals over the age of 65 will not be allowed to perform Hajj alone this time. They will be required to bring a close relative with them. Previously, this rule applied to those over the age of 70.
