Society for Inclusive Development (SFID), is a non-profit making, non-political, secular, socially responsible civil society organization founded to address the issues related to 5 E’s (Environment, Education, Energy, Entrepreneurship & Empowerment). SFID is knowledge sharing initiative utilizing & leveraging each other strengths and network with Govt. Schemes, INGOs, grassroots NGOs/CSOs, Corpo
rate world (under their CSR framework) and local communities with similar concerns and interests for the socio-economic development of the region(s). SFID is always concerned about rural, tribal & underprivileged communities of Himalayan states of Uttarakhand, H.P., J&K, North-Eastern regions and feel that due to its fragile terrain and low economic activities, employment opportunities are not enough, forcing male population to migrate to lowland area. On the other hands women drudgery increased as they have to get involved from household work to farming activities. Hence, SFID is committed to empower local youth with special focus on women folks by exploring & providing livelihood options to them without disturbing our fragile eco-systems, social fabrics and cultural tolerance.
