We found her lying helpless and unable to walk. Somehow, out of all the places she could have gone, she made her way to a house where people love animals.
Maybe it was luck. Maybe it was instinct.

Sometimes, animals just know where kindness lives.

At Raahat Animal Hospital [राह] & Vegan Sanctuary] & Vegan Sanctuary , two teams work 365 days a year to keep the place running.

Public support can make operations easier. But when it comes to our operating expenses, public support remains negligible. For every ₹10 it takes to run our welfare programmes, we put in ₹9 ourselves.
And we work relentlessly to ensure that our animals never pay the price for that shortfall.
Every resident and every in-house patient receives the same standard of medical care, nutrition and quality housing they need and deserve.
PS: And while we receive no government funding, we cannot thank our partners enough for supporting our capital expenses. Their support helps us build and improve the infrastructure our animals depend on.

Volunteering at Raahat isn’t about providing anyone a feel-good experience or the 'vibe' of the place.
Its about you, as a volunteer, creating value - for the animals, for the hospital, and for the work we do. Its
It’s serious business. Animals arrive critical, recovery is hard, and being useful takes commitment, discipline and learning.
That’s why we assess every application and nearly 90% don’t make it through the assessment for one reason or another.
We’re genuinely not happy about turning people away but the work demands a certain level of preparedness and suitability.
For Dr. Rishi, a second-year vet student at GBPUAT, the past few weeks have been about showing up, learning, and doing the work that actually matters.

Bobby spent years being part of other people’s celebrations.
Today, she is a rescued horse living at Raahat Animal Hospital [राह] & Vegan Sanctuary] & Vegan Sanctuary — where she no longer has to work, perform or carry anyone.
Sometimes, helping an animal doesn’t mean taking them home.
Sometimes, it simply means saying,
“I’ll take care of you this month.” 🤍 She was taken care of in July by .huh
