Doors Lakhipara Tea Garden is buzzing with pride as Sheetal Chhetri clinched the gold medal in the Elite Women’s category at the ASMITA Cycling League 2025–26. Her remarkable victory, achieved on July 26th at the Sports Authority of India complex in Kolkata, marks a significant moment for the Dooars region.

This prestigious event, a part of the Khelo India initiative, was meticulously organized by the West Bengal Cycling Association under the guidance of the Cycling Federation of India.

Deepesh Mukhia from Sonada made history by winning two titles in a single day at the Mr. Darjeeling 2025 bodybuilding competition held at Gorkha Ranga Manch Bhawan.

Mukhia took first place in the Amateur Mr. Darjeeling category and third place in the Men’s Bodybuilding (Above 60kg) category at the 30th Mr. Darjeeling Bodybuilding Championship.

Organized by the Darjeeling Divisional Bodybuilding & Fitness Association and supported by the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration, the event featured top athletes from the region.
