Fr. Van Memorial Clinic on Wheels Medical Camp at Goethals Siding Navin Gram Sudhar Samaj, District Darjeeling.

DNPSAA conducted a Free Medical Camp at Goethals Siding Navin Gram Sudhar Samaj on 9th November 2025.

Mrs. Sumitra Biswakarma who runs “Sahayogi Haath” an old age home at Middle Khaharay B***y along with the President, Secretary and members of Goethals Siding Navin Gram Sudhar Samaj were instrumental in providing logistics for the medical camp.

Dr. Subash Moktan led the team of medical personals comprising of Greater Lions Vision Centre from Jorebunglow, Mr. Binod Gurung & Kusal Pandit (Fibro Scan team) from Siliguri, Pathology Lab technicians & Nurses from Planters’ Hospital Darjeeling and volunteers from Interact Club members of Gyanoday Niketan Darjeeling.

A complete free health checkup along with variety of blood tests, ECG, Fibro scan, Blood Pressure and Glucose check was done for more than 60 patients, and Medicines were distributed all free of cost.

MEDICAL CAMP at Pokhriabong, Darjeeling.

DNPSAA organised a medical camp at Pokhriabong with a motive of reaching victims of the recent natural calamity, in collaboration with the local samaj. The camp was set up at the Pokhriabong Samaj Ghar and victims from the near landslide affected area Tukrey were ferried to and fro in the Fr. Van Menorial Clinic On Wheels ambulance by the team.

Physicians, Dr. Dewan and Dr. Yasmine Tamang accompanied by Paediatric Dr. Tsheten Sherpa examined more than 130 attendees from the area.

REST IN PEACE - Mr. Warwick Roberts

He lived the North Point spirit of “Lending a hand to a faltering brother and providing a lift for the lame and the slow.” He played a very instrumental role in the many Winter Camps for the underprivileged children, with the DNPSAA.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and well wishers during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Sir. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

The Darjeeling North Point School Alumni Association (DNPSAA) successfully organized the Fr. Van Memorial Clinic on Wheels Medical camp at Guru Sakya Monastery ( Sakya Gumpa) Ghoom on the 22nd of June 2025.

The medical camp was organized in collaboration with the Guru Sakya Ghumba, Ghoom to commemorate the upcoming 90th Birthday of His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama and in honour of his lifelong compassion and service to humanity.

More than 415 locals from Ghoom and surrounding areas like Jore Bunglow, Allobari, Batasay, Dali, Sukhia Road, Rungbull, Sonada benefitted from the camp with free medical checkup and medicines. The doctors at the camp were Dr. Bikash Dewan, Dr Sagnik Bhattacharya, Dr. Jamyang Gyatsho, Dr. D T Bhutia, Dr. Akashdeep, Dr. Deeke Yolmo, Dr. Tsheten Sherpa, Dr. Tshering Sherpa, Dr. M Yolmo, Dr. T T Bhutia, Dr. Choden Norbu., Dr. Sumiran Rai and Dr. R N Bhutia

An awareness program focusing on human trafficking, child sexual abuse, and cyber safety was conducted for the senior students by MARG, Darjeeling.
