🌍 World AIDS Day 2025 – COODU’s Participation Across Three Districts🌍
“Ending AIDS by 2030 – Together, With Equality and Dignity.”
COODU proudly observed World AIDS Day 2025 across Coimbatore, Krishnagiri, and Dharmapuri, in partnership with TANSACS, Government departments, NGOs, positive networks, students, HRGs, and PLHIV communities.
This year’s events focused on awareness, dignity, inclusion, and the power of collective action.
🔴 COIMBATORE – COODU TI MSM Project
At Immanuel Church, the day began with a vibrant traditional drum welcome for the District Collector Thiru. Pavankumar G., IAS, followed by a series of impactful activities:
✨ Auto Awareness Stickering Launch
✨ Signature Campaign & HIV Oath
✨ Candle-Light Tribute
✨ Awareness speech by DHO Dr. Balu Samy
✨ Sama Bandhi Virunthu – Equal Community Meal
Over 150 participants, including 50+ PLHIV, HRGs, NGOs, and volunteers joined the event.
The Collector’s participation in the shared meal sent a strong message of equality, acceptance, and zero stigma.
🔴 KRISHNAGIRI – COODU TI Core Composite Project
With the participation of the Collector, Deputy Collector, DAPCU, ART team, and local colleges, the district observed the day with:
🔥 Candle Lighting
🔥 Oath Taking
🔥 Signature Campaign
🔥 Human Chain for HIV Awareness
🔥 Equal Meal Ceremony (Samabanthi Bojanam)
The Deputy Collector awarded 20 PLHIV members for their courage and active participation.
Nearly 290 people took part, including HRGs, students, officials, and community members.
🔴 DHARMAPURI – COODU Link Worker Scheme (LWS)
Dharmapuri witnessed one of the largest gatherings with 350 direct participants and 2000+ people witnessing the human chain.

The event brought together HRGs, migrant workers, truckers, students, positive networks, and the general public, showcasing a powerful community movement for HIV awareness.
