On Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, OWC wrapped up the 2025–26 year with a warm and well-attended AGM lunch at the Madras Club.

Members came together to celebrate a fantastic year, with heartfelt appreciation for Shobha Jesudasen and her team for their outstanding leadership. We also warmly welcomed Geetha Muthusamy and her new team, wishing them every success.

What a lovely Overseas Women’s Club AGM and a beautiful moment to look back on such an active and joyful year.

A big thank you to outgoing President Shobha and her team for all their hard work, dedication and warmth. They gave us a year full of entertaining activities, wonderful gatherings and a very active social welfare programme that brought smiles and happiness to many communities.

Wishing incoming President Geetha and her team a fantastic year ahead, full of success, energy and many achievements. Looking forward to enjoying more lovely gatherings, fun moments and meaningful activities together.

Hello ladies,

This morning Subhashini Raja of Baby’s Breath Smocks treated us OWC members to an incredible morning showcasing the traditional craft of smocking in her beautiful home complete with an incredible array of home made delicacies.

She traced the history of smocking, the different kinds of smocking and her designs which include items for adults too.

Finally her first employee and the newest did a demonstration of this technique which is so beautiful.

The best surprise and the highlight of the morning was of course having Aybiké’s visit with her darling daughter Mira.

Thank you ladies. This was my last meeting for this year and it’s been a pleasure curating these meetings 🙏🙏💕 and getting to know so many of you better.
