Ti**le comics and Harry Potter books are something that we consider a trivial part of our everyday life but these are precious, and almost exotic books, in the eyes of underprivileged children. Such children face two problems:
a) Unavailability of access to non-curricular books
b) Inadequate skills to read in other languages. Keni aims to solve these by making books accessible to these children.
The core aim of Keni is to collect second-hand books, comics and old newspapers from the public and use these to set-up libraries in underprivileged schools. The emphasis is more on non-curricular books since only curricular books are easily available to these children. The donated books will be made available in the libraries whereas we will sell the newspapers to fund for additional books. We will also organize reading and story telling sessions for the students to help improve their reading skills. How to get involved :
