🎶 KODAIKANAL — WE’RE COMING!

What started as a simple trip to Kodaikanal for our Samagratha children has now blossomed into an opportunity to share their music as well! ❤️🎶

We already have an enquiry to perform for a select audience during our stay. This got us thinking — why not use this opportunity to connect with others in Kodaikanal who may also like to host our children for a musical evening?

So, if you are part of a club, residents’ association, private gathering, family get-together or any small group that would enjoy an intimate evening of music, we would love to hear from you.

Our children are talented singers and performers who love being on stage. Music gives them an opportunity to showcase their abilities, build confidence and create meaningful connections.

What began as a trip… is slowly turning into a little musical journey! 🎶🌿

Arjun is the latest young talent to become a part of the Samagratha family, and his journey with us has already given us some incredibly special moments.

What makes it even more meaningful is knowing what these moments have meant to his mother. Her heartfelt note reminded us that sometimes, an opportunity on a stage can mean so much more than just a performance. It can give a child confidence, purpose, and the belief that their talent has a place in the world. 🎶❤️

We are deeply touched by her words and grateful that Samagratha could be part of these beautiful memories.

Yesterday was a truly special day for Samagratha. ❤️

We had the privilege of performing at the Founders’ Day celebration of Bala Mandir Kamaraja Trust, an institution with a remarkable legacy that dates back to 1949, when it was started by late Sri. K. Kamaraj and Smt. S. Manjubhashini.

Founded with a vision of providing care, education, dignity and opportunity to children in need, Bala Mandir has continued to touch countless lives over the decades. To be invited to perform at such an institution was an honour for all of us at Samagratha.

We were privileged to have Ms. N. Latha, Director of School Education (FAC) & Director, SCERT, as the Chief Guest for the occasion.

And then came our proudest moment — our Samagratha children took the stage and sang their hearts out. 🎶

The confidence, enthusiasm and joy with which they performed were truly wonderful to watch. The appreciation they received from the audience and the dignitaries present made the moment even more special. The applause they received was a beautiful affirmation of their talent and of the opportunities that allow them to shine.

For us at Samagratha, moments like these are what the journey is all about — creating platforms where every talent gets an opportunity to be heard, appreciated and celebrated.

A heartfelt thank you to Leela Natarajan and the trustees of Bala Mandir Kamaraj Trust for welcoming our children and giving them this wonderful opportunity to perform on such a meaningful occasion.

Watching them on that stage, singing with such confidence and receiving so much love, was a moment of immense pride for all of us. ❤️

Here’s to many more stages, many more songs and many more dreams taking flight. 🎶

Because sometimes, inclusion doesn’t need a speech. It just needs a stage.

There is something we have been noticing lately.

Talented singers emerging from reality shows are finding their way onto concert stages of celebrity singers/music directors, television shows, promotions and major events. It is wonderful to see talent being recognised and given a larger audience.

And it makes us wonder — what if such stages opened their doors to our singers too?

The young singers of Samagratha Foundation may be autistic, but when they stand behind a microphone, what the audience sees is simply a singer, a voice and a talent waiting to be heard.

A few minutes on a major stage could mean so much more than a performance.

It could reach thousands — perhaps millions — of people who may never otherwise encounter the abilities of persons with disabilities in this way.

It could challenge perceptions.
It could replace sympathy with respect.
It could show that inclusion is not about doing someone a favour, but about recognising their place on the same stage.

Celebrity singers, music directors and popular YouTube channels have the reach to make that message travel much further.

The performance can be for just a few minutes.
But it could change the way thousands of people see disability.

Because sometimes, one song can change a room.
One stage can change minds.
And changed minds can change lives.

That is the real power of inclusion.
Not just giving our singers a chance to perform — but giving the world a chance to see them differently. ❤️
