We are pleased to share that during the free screening camp organized with the support of Operation Smile and Asha Kiran Seva Sansthan, 20 patients were successfully screened for treatment.

All selected patients will receive treatment at IQ City Hospital, Durgapur, West Bengal. The complete process, including travel to and from the hospital, surgery, and related support, will be provided free of cost.

This initiative is a step toward bringing hope, confidence, and brighter smiles to many families. We sincerely thank everyone who supported and participated in making this mission successful.

Celebrating the 135th Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
Bharat Kendra Bokaro and Asha Kiran Seva Sansthan Bokaro jointly organized a meaningful program at Ambedkar Bhawan, Gujru K***a to commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
The program began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Secretary Vijay Kumar Mahato, followed by an engaging session highlighting the life, struggles, and invaluable contributions of Dr. Ambedkar towards building an inclusive and just society.
To encourage youth participation, sports competitions were organized where 85 young participants enthusiastically took part. Winners were recognized and awarded for their performances, promoting a spirit of motivation and community engagement.
We were glad to have the active participation of community members including Ajay Kumar Mahato, Chandan Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Sumant Kumar Sah, Lilawati Kumari, Sweta Kumari, K***an Kumar, Anil Kumar, Pintu Kumar, and many others.
This initiative aimed to inspire young minds with the values of equality, education, and social justice.

rom Constitution to Solutions” – Three-Day Training Program Successfully Concluded 🇮🇳
We are pleased to share that the three-day training program on “From Constitution to Solutions”, jointly organized by We The People Campaign, Delhi and Asha Kiran Seva Sansthan, Bokaro, has been successfully concluded today at Panchayat Bhawan, Chatro-Chati, Gomia (Bokaro), Jharkhand.
The program was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mukhiya Shri Mahadev Mahto, who emphasized that the Constitution of India is the foundation of our democracy and strengthens the values of justice, equality, and fraternity in society.
During the program, our Secretary, Shri Vijay Kumar Mahato, highlighted that the Constitution is not merely a legal document but a guiding framework for citizens’ rights and responsibilities. He stressed that meaningful social transformation begins when communities understand and practice constitutional values in everyday life.
A total of 33 participants actively engaged in interactive sessions facilitated by Coordinator Shri Ajay Kumar Mahato, Trainer Shri Pawan Kumar Sinha, and Ms. Rasna Verma. Over the three days, discussions focused on the spirit of the Constitution, Fundamental Rights and Duties, democratic participation at the Panchayat level, and constitutional approaches to addressing social challenges.

One-Day FPO Workshop-cum-Planning Meeting Held in Bokaro
A one-day FPO Workshop-cum-Planning Meeting was organized in Bokaro district under the joint aegis of NABARD and PRADAN. Representatives from 19 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across the district, along with members of various NGOs, actively participated in the program. The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen FPOs and develop a concrete action plan for their sustainable growth.
The workshop focused on key issues such as FPO development, enhancing farmers’ income, strengthening market linkages, organizational capacity building, and addressing region-specific challenges.
Mr. Vijay Kumar Mahato, Secretary of Asha Kiran Seva Sansthan, Bokaro, shared valuable suggestions on strengthening FPOs and highlighted the growing issue of elephant attacks in the region, which have been causing significant losses to farmers. He emphasized the need for collective strategies, crop protection measures, and better convergence with government schemes.
Mr. Ajay Kumar Mahato, Coordinator of the organization, elaborated on FPO structure, training, financial management, and the importance of long-term business planning to ensure sustainability.
A special address was delivered by Philmon Bilung, District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD, who provided detailed insights into the planning process, available financial assistance, and relevant government schemes. He encouraged FPOs to adopt a business-oriented approach and work towards self-reliance.
From PRADAN, Mr. Amit Mahto, Ms. Jyotsna Jaiswal, and other representatives also shared their perspectives on strengthening FPOs, enhancing farmers’ capacities, and improving market access.
The program concluded with a collective commitment from all participants to work collaboratively towards making FPOs stronger, self-reliant, and farmer-centric institutions in the district.

Real social transformation is possible only when common citizens understand and practice constitutional values in their daily lives. A three-day volunteer training program on “Samvidhan Se Samadhan” was successfully organized from 19 to 21 January 2026 at K***a, Gomia, by Asha Kiran Seva Sansthan, K***a–Gomia, Bokaro (Jharkhand), in collaboration with We The People Abhiyan, New Delhi.
The training witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 35 volunteers. During the program, in-depth discussions were held on the Indian Constitution, focusing on:
📖 when, why, and how the Constitution was framed
📖 its purpose and significance
📖 the rights and duties of citizens
The training sessions were conducted by Mr. Pawan Sinha and Mr. Nagesh Yadav, who delivered the content in a simple, effective, and practical manner, which was highly appreciated by all participants.
On this occasion, the Secretary of the institution, Mr. Vijay Kumar Mahato, congratulated all the participants and emphasized the importance of being aware of our constitutional values, rights, and duties, and encouraged volunteers to carry this knowledge to the last person in society.
Volunteers including Ajay Kumar Mahato, Neelam Devi, we the people Abhiyan, along with many others, actively participated in the program.
This training proved to be an important step towards nurturing aware, responsible, and active citizens.

Quarterly Meeting of CACL Jharkhand Ranchi.
The Quarterly Meeting of CACL Jharkhand was successfully held with the participation of member organizations, civil society representatives, and child rights activists from across the state. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress made during the last quarter towards the elimination of child labour and strengthening child rights protection mechanisms in Jharkhand.
Key discussions included the current status of child labour cases, rescue and rehabilitation processes, coordination with government departments, and challenges faced at the grassroots level. Members shared field experiences, best practices, and strategies to improve community awareness and enforcement of child protection laws.
The meeting also emphasized strengthening networking among NGOs, enhancing advocacy efforts, and planning joint actions for the upcoming quarter. The session concluded with a collective commitment to intensify efforts towards creating a child-labour-free Jharkhand.

अत्यधिक ठंड में जरूरतमंदों के लिए गूंज एवं आशा किरण सेवा संस्थान का पहल

ठंड के कड़ے प्रकोप को देखते हुए Asha Kiran Seva Sansthan, Bokaro एवं Goonj, नई दिल्ली के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में प्रखंड के विभिन्न गांवों में गर्म कपड़ों का वितरण किया गया। इस पहल के तहत लवालौंग, कुंडा, मुरापा, धोन्थवा आदि गांवों में लगभग 250 परिवारों के बीच गर्म वस्त्र वितरित किए गए।

संगठन के सचिव विजय कुमार महतो ने बताया कि संस्था ठंड से राहत दिलाने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास कर रही है और शेष गांवों में भी वितरण कार्य शीघ्र किया जाएगा। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि संस्था क्षेत्र में निःशुल्क मोतियाबिंद ऑपरेशन तथा अन्य सामाजिक सेवाओं के माध्यम से लगातार जनसेवा के काम कर रही है।

इस कार्यक्रम में कोऑर्डिनेटर नीलम देवी एवं अजय कुमार महतो ने सराहनीय योगदान दिया।

यह पहल चुनौतीपूर्ण मौसम में जरूरतमंद परिवारों के लिए बड़ी राहत साबित हो रही है।
