Raja Dance Studio, under the esteemed guidance of Shri Subhendu Dash (Raja Baba ), proudly conferred Nrityam Samman 2026 upon Dr. Ankita Rath in recognition of her exceptional dedication to Indian classical dance, artistic excellence, and remarkable contributions to art, culture, and society.

As part of the celebration, Dr. Ankita Rath presented the captivating "Sakhi Bije Kadamba Mule" (Odia Abhinaya)โ€”a timeless composition by the medieval Odia Vaishnavite poet Banamali. The performance beautifully portrays Radha's heartfelt confession to her Sakhi after witnessing the enchanting form of Lord Krishna beneath the Kadamba tree, leaving her completely immersed in divine love.

๐—ฆ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ธ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ถ ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜€ has been learning Odissi for the past 21 years under the guidance of her revered Guru. Alongside her journey as an accomplished Odissi dancer, she holds a Master's degree in Psychology from Ravenshaw University and serves as a teacher at Gunjan Dance Academy.

She has performed at several prestigious festivals across India and abroad and has been honoured with both Junior and Senior Scholarships from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is also a recipient of the State Rajiv Gandhi Pratibha Puraskar Award and an empanelled '๐' ๐†๐ซ๐š๐๐ž ๐€๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ƒ๐จ๐จ๐ซ๐๐š๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ง.
