A proud moment for India in the world of Avian science! 🇮🇳🦉
The Shri. Manish Mehta Microgrant is officially live. Based on our research into the global history of ornithological funding, this is the first-ever global grant dedicated exclusively to the study and conservation of Nightjars and their relatives.

This is a profound moment for the Indian conservation community. An initiative of the Ksh*tij Foundation, in collaboration with the Global Nightjar Network (GNN), this grant demonstrates that local passion can lead to a global impact.

Legacy: Honouring the memory of Mr. Manishbhai Mehta and his lifelong passion for nature.
• Focus: Ecology, behavior, and conservation of Nightjars.
• Phase 1: Currently open exclusively for India-based projects.
• Grant Amount: ₹15,000 INR.
Eligibility:
• Indian citizens/residents under 35 years.
• Students, early-career researchers, or NGOs.
