𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞.

In one of the most underserved settlements of West Champaran district of Bihar, children’s education was never a priority. But through Project 𝐔𝐃𝐀𝐀𝐍, supported by , SSEVS worked closely with the community to build awareness and trust — and the real change was led by the mothers.

Coming together, they took a collective stand for their children’s future and ensured they returned to school. Despite initial challenges, today 20 children are attending school regularly, with learning now becoming part of their daily lives.

This is more than a story of enrollment — it is about a community taking ownership of its future.

𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞

Bisfi Farmer Producer Company Limited (FPC), Bisfi, Madhubani, participated in the Krishi Vikas Sammelan and Mega Agri Expo 2026 at KVK, Basaitha Chanpura, Madhubani (31 Jan–2 Feb 2026).

Promoted by Samagra Sikhshan Evam Viksh Sansthan ( ) and supported by Passing Gift Private Limited and Heifer International, this women-led FPC showcased farmer-produced, value-added products such as vermicompost, spice powders, goat feed, and organic vegetables.

Our stall was honored by visits from:
Mr. Ram Kripal Yadav, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Government of Bihar
Mr. Hukumdeo Narayan Yadav, Former Union Minister, Government of India
Mr. Anand Sharma, District Magistrate, Madhubani

The dignitaries praised the FPC’s work in Bisfi and urged continued efforts in women’s empowerment, sustainable agriculture, and rural livelihoods.
The event offered valuable exposure to ~150 women members from the FPC and Farmer Field Schools (FFS), boosting their skills in agri-enterprise, organic inputs, and market linkages.

Ending child labour takes more than rescue — it needs strong systems, community awareness, and long-term care for every child.

At a recent state-level workshop on preventing child labour, the focus was on coordination across government, institutions, and civil society to ensure prevention, rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration work together.

A powerful moment was the recognition of Rupesh Kumar, a child labour survivor supported by SSEVS, who shared his inspiring journey from exploitation to hope and dignity.

At SSEVS, we believe every child deserves not just freedom, but care, education, confidence, and a future. Together, we must protect childhood — not compromise it.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬.

SSEVS has organised an awareness and training session in Semri Bhawanipur village (Yogapatti block, West Champaran) to encourage women’s active participation in Gram Sabha meetings and local self-governance.

Through this session which was organised as part of the project DEEEP (𝐷𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡 𝐸𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛, 𝐸𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑒 & 𝐸𝑚𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚), women were informed about village development schemes, guided on how to submit applications, and supported to raise and prioritise community issues collectively. Because when women know their rights and use their voice, families gain access to essential government benefits — and entire communities move forward.

Every share without permission is a harmful act. And every time a girl loses control over her own image — violence wins.

Technology has given us new ways to connect. But it has also created new ways to exploit, shame, and silence women and girls.

During the , stands with every young woman who has been bullied, threatened, or violated online — simply because her digital boundaries weren’t respected.

Through our digital literacy sessions, adolescent support groups, and community protection systems, we are working to ensure girls own their choices — including what happens to their image.
