From 2025 onward, the event is open to all NGOs, inspiring collective action for meaningful change. The participating Walkers have to walk either 5 km or 10 km -within 3 hours. It is a not a competition and so, Walkers need not compete with one another. onoor. Coonoor is located near Ooty in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu on the eastern slopes of the majestic Western Ghats,India. It is already a very popular and famous trekking route in South India. It is located 7 km away from Coonoor town and absolutely free from the dust and din of urban life. Starting from Nonsuch Estate, the walking route runs across beautiful tea gardens, lush ever-green forests, a few small ravines, seasonal streams, scenic view -points, and the settlements of ethnic tribal communities like Todas and Kurumbas. You will love the walk on a breezy, sunny day which will offer you one of the most memorable walking experiences in your life,

1. The tribal children to pursue their academic dreams.
2. The abandoned elderly to spend the evenings of their lives with dignity and peace. Individuals who are above 18 years can participate. You can bring along any person of your choice to walk with you...could be your Friend, Spouse, Son, Daughter, Sibling, Parent, Uncle, Aunt, Grandparent, Co-worker, Companion or any. No restrictions! They also have to register! Eligibility Criteria:
1.You should be over 18 years.
2. You can select any one of the formats- 5 km or 10 walk. You cannot walk in both the formats
3.You have to register your name by paying INR 1500/- as Registration fee
4.You have to raise a Minimum Donation of your choice on or before 15th February, 2015 ( Donations are eligible for Tax Rebate)
