The training focused on strengthening the capacity of BMC members to finalize PBRs and develop effective biodiversity management action plans for the conservation and sustainable use of local biological resources.

🌾 Strengthening Millet Cultivation under Shree Anna Abhiyan

Preparatory activities for the upcoming millet season are progressing across Suliapada Block under the Shree Anna Abhiyan Project implemented by Sakti Sikha Development Society (SDS). Ragi nursery bed preparation was carried out at Village Rainda (GP: Kanimahuli) and Village Jhaliamara (GP: Kostha). Farmers are also actively engaged in field preparation for transplanting and pearl millet sowing, ensuring timely cultivation with improved agricultural practices.

Our newly established polyhouse under the APC project was inspected by the DDH and ADH, who appreciated the dedication of our Women's Producer Group in adopting soilless nursery production. They encouraged farmers to scale up cultivation using Horticulture Department subsidies and praised the healthy performance of grafted brinjal, okra, and banana fields.
