World Day Against Child Labour | 12th June 2025

As part of the 44-day national campaign led by CACL (Campaign Against Child Labour, PAT proudly observed World Day Against Child Labour) with strong community participation and youth & survivor-led actions across different blocks of North 24 Parganas.

Theme 2025: "Progress is clear, but there’s more to do: let’s speed up efforts!"

We organized awareness rallies, sessions with community children and dialogues with duty bearers with poster presentation to raise our collective voice for a child labour free India.

Even with monthly stipends, some survivors face control at home, societal stigma, and lack of financial literacy. Money alone doesn’t dismantle power hierarchies—it needs support systems, according to the study on the impact of stipend to survivors of human trafficking conducted with survivors associated with the programme

“If we ask money from family, they say: why do you ask when you earn yourself?” says a survivor leaders who participated in the study.
