2025 Rewind: Thankathon – Government Veterinary College, Hebbal

In November, our North Bangalore volunteers spent a meaningful day at the Government Veterinary College, showing their appreciation to the staff, who, with such care and dedication, take care of the animals each day.
We toured the campus, learned about their work, and spoke with one of the doctors about future collaborations in animal welfare.
We ended the visit by felicitating the staff with shalyas and sweets as a small thank-you for all they do behind the scenes.
Here’s to the hands that care for those who cannot speak.

2025 Rewind: Thankathon- Kengeri BMTC depot

At times, we can get so absorbed by our mundane routines that we can forget to be grateful.

As a way of thanking the frontline workers who work so hard to keep our cities running, we, the St Broseph Army organised Thankathons all across Bengaluru to celebrate their hard work and dedication.

In June, the volunteers of the South West Bangalore chapter spent a day honouring the staff at the Kengeri Bus Depot.

We started by felicitating 10 drivers and conductors with shalyas and badges, and the smiles that came with it set the tone for the whole day.

From there, it was all about spending time together. We shared meals, cracked jokes, chatted with each other, and got to know the people behind the uniforms.

We even took them out for lunch, desserts, and a round of arcade games. It was simple, light-hearted, and genuinely fun.
By the end of the day, the happiness in the room felt real and shared.

To the Kengeri Bus Depot staff, thank you for everything you do.

2025 Rewind: Lalbagh Cleanup

Earlier in May, we took on a spot cleanup inside Lalbagh, one of Bengaluru’s most loved public spaces. The area had plastic wrappers, bottles, paper waste and other litter that had built up over time.

Our volunteers got to work, moving through the paths and garden edges and picking up waste bag by bag. By the end, we had collected nearly 20 full bags of trash.

Thank you to every volunteer who showed up and put in the effort.

We take the to Domlur flyover.

This Saturday, our volunteers are coming together for a quick spot cleanup to make our city a little cleaner.

Well, this may seem like just another event, but the impact it has had can’t be measured.

Today, we donated clothes to a homeless shelter in Jayanagar. Our team of volunteers had a truly unique experience, learning things most people don’t usually realise.

People at a homeless shelter aren’t all that different from us. They’re people you meet every single day, the Zomato driver who makes sure you get your dinner while missing his own, the Domino’s receptionist who ensures you enjoy your pizza while never eating one himself, the auto anna who gets you home even at 1 AM.

Our team met people from all these different professions at the shelter, all just trying to get by.

But at the very least, they were able to make sure every one of them felt cared for, and knew that there are people who are here for them.

2025 Rewind: Government Scheme Enrolment Drive

As we approach a fresh new year, here's a throwback to all the good work our volunteers have done in 2025.

Earlier this year, volunteers from the Indiranagar, East Bangalore and Whitefield chapters spent a day with our friends in Baiyappanahalli.

We went door to door, helping underprivileged families enroll in government schemes including Gruha Jyothi, Gruha Lakshmi, disability certificates, and more.

We explained every scheme, and made sure no one was left out.

This Saturday, the St. Broseph Army is heading to the BBMP Homeless Shelter in Jayanagar to distribute clothes and shoes donated by you guys, and refurbished by us, to those who need them most, our friends at the homeless shelters.
