A program on the life, achievements and reforms of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar and Devaraja Arasu was organized at Bangalore University today.
The functionaries including the President, General Secretary of OBC Federation of India participated in the program.
Construction of hostel facilities, Devaraja Arasu Bhawan, research and study center, libraries for backward class students by OBC Federation of India to Hon'ble Chancellor in the ceremony. And a request letter was submitted for distribution of laptops.
The chancellor responded positively and said that the work of the hostel would soon be started and the list of other demands would be fulfilled step by step.

ಇಂದು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ "ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣ" ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ರವರ ಜೀವನ,ಸಾಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬಿಸಿ ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು, ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಂತೆ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಬಿಸಿ ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ವತಿಯಿಂದ, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ಸೌಕರ್ಯ, ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ಭವನ, ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ,ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವುದು. ಹಾಗೂ ಲ್ಯಾಪ್ಟಾಪ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಹಾಸ್ಟೆಲ್ ನ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು ಇನ್ನುಳಿದ ಅನೇಕ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಈಡೇರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಕರ್ ರವರು ಕುಲ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಶೇಕ್ ಲತೀಫ್, ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಐ.ಎ.ಎಸ್. ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಆಚಾರ್, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಚಿಂತಕರಾದ ಬಂಜಗೆರೆ ಜಯಪ್ರಕಾಶ್, ಒಬಿಸಿ ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಜೆ.ಎಂಜೇರಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಯೂನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿಯ ಒಬಿಸಿ ಸೆಲ್ ನ ವಿಶೇಷಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಚಿತ್ತಯ್ಯ ಪೂಜಾರ್, ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಪವನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಕೆ.ಭಾಸ್ಕರ್ ಡಾ.ಜೆ.ಕೆ ಲೋಕೇಶಪ್ಪ, ಮಹೇಶ್ವರ ಸಿಂಗ್, ಸೋಮಣ್ಣ ಚಂದ್ರು ವಸಂತಪುರ ಹಾಗೂ ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
