During today’s weekly press briefing, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru spoke about various cases solved by the city police. JC Nagar Police have arrested four individuals involved in a chain snatching case, leading to the recovery of 87 grams of gold worth ₹6 lakh and also Vehicles used in the crimes have been seized. The accused, who operated across multiple areas of Bengaluru, have been apprehended, solving cases under JC Nagar, Ashoknagar, and Sadashivanagar Police limits. Public is advised to stay vigilant in public spaces and avoid displaying valuables openly while walking on the road.
Case2: Konanakunte PS has arrested two individuals involved in a chain-snatching incident targeting a woman en route to work at B.K. Circle. A 38g gold chain and a rented two-wheeler used in the crime—worth ₹2.5 lakh—were recovered. The accused, once nabbed, confessed to similar crimes across Bengaluru. The public is advised to stay alert while walking alone, especially in isolated stretches, and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
Case 3: Halasuru Gate Police Station has arrested four individuals in connection with cheating, theft, and breach of trust in four separate cases involving gold and silver. A total of 212 grams of gold and 4.1 kilograms of silver worth ₹22 lakh has been recovered. The recovery includes melted gold and ornaments surrendered by the associates. Citizens dealing with valuables are advised to follow secure handling practices and remain vigilant.
