Right Cause Right Cause- Partnering for Change Who are we? On 5th August 2014, Right Cause wasformally registered as a non-profit organization at Bangalore.

Right Cause with a theme- Partnering for Change, believes in the power of many or even a few committed individuals coming together for a right cause or for a set of basic rights that are paramount to the survival of human beings and area pre-requisite for its individual members to lead a life of respect and dignity. History:
We are Chakmas, a small community of only about 2.5 Lac population sprea

d across the seven –sister states in India. Historically, we are said to be descendants of the great Sakya clan to which the great Enlightened One belonged and Venerable BuddharakhhitaBhikkhu, who left for heavenly abode last year had reiterated this during the many Dhamma discourses he held with us and emphasized that we should always uphold the Buddhist precepts, moral values and continue the spiritual tradition, culture and civilization that we had and should be proud of since the time of Gautama Buddha. We are here today to remember and pay homage and offer punyodana in memory of that great soul – BadaBhanteji who’s no longer with us physically but is inseparably connected with our inner conscience and consciousness in every way. The genesis of Right Cause as it is called today started during one of the Dhamma discourses BadaBhanteji Venerable Acharya Buddharikkhita had with us and floated the idea of a sub-committee within Mahabodhi society to specifically address the educational, socio-economic and spiritual development of the Chakma people in India. Subsequently, Right Cause was formed under the guidance and blessing of Venerable AnandaBhanteji, who is continuing with the noble mission.
