A historic and proud moment for Tulail–Gurez

Imteyaz Hussain Khan has set a remarkable milestone by becoming the first research scientist from Gurez–Tulail, Bandipora to gain international recognition. His pioneering work includes developing the first cardiovascular disease (CVD) dataset at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, along with publishing significant research in reputed international journals.

Beyond research, as President of Helping Hands Society, he has supported many needy students and led impactful initiatives—environmental awareness drives, polythene-free campaigns, promotion of Gurez tourism, support to administration during COVID, and encouragement of sports activities.

His journey from a remote region to the global research arena reflects dedication, vision, and service to society.

🔥 Gratitude & Appreciation Post 🔥
We at Helping Hands Society Gurez extend our heartfelt gratitude to the youth of Barnaye and our dedicated Helping Hands members, who rushed to the spot during the fire incident at Kashpot Tulail. Many among them sustained injuries while putting their lives at risk to extinguish the fire and protect the community.
We also acknowledge and deeply appreciate the efforts of Mr. Hamza Lone (Political Leader, PC Party), who stood beside the people in this difficult moment, and SHO Tulail, Mr. Mir Kazam, who led from the front and bravely fought the flames. Both, along with our volunteers, risked their own safety and were injured in the process, yet their commitment ensured that the fire was brought under control and maximum damage was prevented.
This collective courage and unity are proof that when we stand together, no tragedy can defeat us. We salute every individual who played their part in this life-threatening situation.

Proud moment for all of us! 🎉
Mustafa Jamil Lone, hailing from the far-flung and remote village of Refugi Tulail, Gurez, has made history by securing a world record in the Lincoln Book of Records for:

🏅 Creating the Longest Handwritten Scroll of Al-Muwatta – Imam Malik Riwaya Ibni Qasim,
measuring an incredible 108 meters in length and 14.5 inches in width.

👏 This extraordinary achievement was completed on 6th November 2024 and officially recognized on 15th April 2025 at Refugi, Tulail Gurez.

Despite coming from one of the most isolated regions in Jammu and Kashmir, his dedication, passion, and perseverance have placed him on the global stage. A true inspiration! 🌍🖋️

Let us celebrate this remarkable achievement and take pride in the hidden talent of our valleys. 🌄
